Pastor Mark & Carolyn Wachtstetter
Born in the Heart of the Midwest, Mark and Carolyn Wachtstetter have experienced divergent spiritual influences in their life. In the spiritual life of their childhood, they experienced the strengths of African-American and White Pentecostal worship. Later in their ministry their beliefs were further enriched through their missionary work in Russia as well as helping to build several churches on the Island of Jamaica.
Raised as a Pentecostal, Pastor Mark found his spiritual life expanded through his studies and his growing ties to Christians of all denominations. Rooted solidly in the Pentecostal doctrine and experience, the fruit of these relationships can be seen in his commitment to a convergence of the three streams of Christianity – the sacramental, the evangelical, and the Pentecostal. Mark is passionate about drawing from the strengths of the divergent gifts and insight of the whole Church, and has led the charge of Every Member in Ministry. He seeks to create spiritual environments that celebrate the traditions of Christian faith, the freedom of the Holy Spirit and the foundation of the Word.
In July of 1971, Mark married Carolyn Herron and they have worked together for the Kingdom of God for over 35 years. Together they have served as a Church Custodian, Sunday School Teacher, Bus Driver, Evangelist, Missionaries, and Associate Pastors as well as Senior Pastors. They have served in all areas on Church Ministry. They have been blessed with 2 children, Kimberly Elaine, age 29, Marcus Troyce, age 21, who works closely in the church ministry with his father. As well they have 3 beautiful grandchildren Taylor, age 7, Hunter, age 5 and Alyssa, age 2, all whom the Wachtstetters are currently raising.
